-Various Vector Wallpapers Page Updated
No new materials today. I'm still converting my wallpaper collection to widescreen. Almost done
and then I can start a new project. Today I've replaced the Rapidshare links for the high-res
walls with direct links to copies I've put on DeviantArt. DeviantArt will be better for a few
reasons; A) visitors won't need to d/l aspect ratios they won't even use and the files are
seperate so no more 10+MB archives, B) DeviantArt allows high-res images without degrading the
quality and C) if I edit the walls I can simply update them at the source without having to
mess around with new links on this site.
Right now I've only updated the links for the "Various Vectors" page. I still have some
editing to do for the Izuna walls and then I'll update that section.

- Wallpaper: Sumomomo Momomo "Sumomomo Aprons"
Finished the Sumomomo vector. It's a really great comedy for anyone that hasn't seen it. As for
my next project, I got a couple new monitors coming in this week. High-res ones. I have to dump
over two thirds of my wallpaper collection... Started at around 2500 walls and am currently at
about 770 with still more to cut. It hurts. I'm going to go over all the walls I had
to cut and if there's anything I really want to keep I'll be tracing those.
I also have to re-up all the Rapidshare links since I'm re-archiving everything after fixing the
Izuna vector and running PNGOut on all the old vectors. I'll probably be updating for that this
week.

- Papercraft: The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya "Danchou Pyramid"
Just a quick papercraft template I whipped up in honor of Suzumiya-sama's second coming. The
Sumomomo vector is still in the works. Foreground about 80% complete, background approximately
0% complete. Probably ready around next weekend.

A brand new section. Designing papercraft isn't about to become a regular hobby of mine but I
may start making them once in a while. The first one here is my first attempt and isn't
much more than an edit of a Mari-tan template. I like the basket but I wasn't really familiar
enough with designing parts to get the proportions right for H-tan. The second one here I recently
finished and did it about four months or so after the first one. The parts are designed a lot
better and most are from scratch rather than a simple edit. I also got the chibi proportions
worked in. It came out pretty good. I like the basket from the other one, though, so I may
edit her arms and legs a little to have a basket version later.
I also spruced up the Wallpaper sections. The "Various" pages are now sorted by vector traces
and raster edits. I'm not going to fix all the links in the previous news updates, though.
Dramacon also got it's own page since it had enough walls to begin with. There's nothing
actually new in the wallpaper sections, though. I'm working on a vector right now and should
be able to put it up later this month. It's from Sumomomo Momomo, look forward to it.
Lastly, I recently got around to downloading the PNGOut utility. It recompresses PNG graphics
and gets them about 10-20% smaller, usually. I'm going to be running all the vector walls
through the utility and re-upping them to Rapidshare so the archives will be smaller. As I'm
going though the old walls I've been fixing mistakes I've noticed but never got around to
fixing. I also wanted to do a better background for the Izuna vector. So I'll be updating soon
for that as well.

- Wallpaper: Serial Experiments Lain "Lain Navi"
New vector. This wasn't an easy task. The screencap for this shot was very much lacking
in detail and Lain's father was blocking the right half of the room. I ended up having to take
reference shot of various things in the room and make a composite. Even then there were a bunch
of things I had to vector freehand. The shot is a little wide so I may upscale it and crop a
tighter version later.

Happy Valentine's Day! My gift to you is a vector of Tenko. Kamisama Kazoku
may be lacking as a series but Tenko makes up for it!

Had to fix some Rapidshare links that expired for some wallpapers. Remember to download
the Rapidshare versions where available to get the highest quality copies. New wallpaper
to come soon. Probably within a week.

Been working on this one pretty faithfully for the last week or two so I could
make it for the holiday.

This site is optimized for a screen resolution of 1024x768. It is
tested in IE 6.0 and Firefox 1.0.7.
In the event that graphics are updated or an old icon is updated
and you're a returning visitor, your computer may used a cached
version instead of the new one. IE users can hold Ctrl while
clicking the refresh button to force the graphics to download.
Other browsers may need to click refresh, clear their cashe or
use other methods to force the new graphics to download.
Icons are split into two groups, icons made for AIM (48X48) and
icons made for journal/blog sites (100X100). Feel free to look and
take anything for your personal use. Do not host them as part
of a public collection although you may link to this site.
Please give credit with a link to this page for anything you
take. Also, sorry about all the pop-ups and crap.
